I have a friend at Henry Ford Hospital who is their Director of Healing Arts. They have studies that show that being in the presence of good art can have a positive effect on cancer patients getting treatment. If Art can help heal individuals, how about art helping to heal society by supporting all the people who are working to build and heal our world? There are countless organizations trying to solve the problems of hunger, homelessness, education personal safety and other issues that are draining us as a people. Through my art, I hope to do two things:
First, to add something beautiful to the world. I know that the world is a big place and the few pieces that I will be able to create in my lifetime will have small impact, but I hope that it will be a positive one, and
Second, by directing whatever economic impact I can generate towards groups working on the Big Problems, I hope to help many others solve the great issues of our generation.

I create paintings with the intention of supporting organizations that are working to make the world better. I "gift" finished paintings to people who have made contributions to a variety of Not-For-Profits, like Doctors Without Borders, Public Radio, Historic Preservation, World Central Kitchen, Wildlife Preservation Groups and others.
In order to boost the impact of my creative process for added support of these groups, I have created small edition archival pigment prints of selected paintings and augmented them with acrylic paint. These are available on this website.
