I specialize in paintings of  architectural landscapes and still lifes in Acrylics and Oil on Canvas

Back when I was working a corporate job, I found that when I was typing my name in emails, I would routinely mistype my name as "Dogu", instead of "Doug". As I decided to paint more, I felt that I needed a Nom de Plume and Dogu was the winning "Nom"

I paint to support other people doing worthy things.  For instance, I have created paintings and given them away to individuals who have made a donation to worthy causes like Doctors Without Borders and Detroit Public Radio.  I also have created a small edition enhanced pigment print and all the net proceeds are passed along to support the People for Palmer Park, which is a community Organization in Detroit.
